A couple weeks ago, Erykah Badu released a cover of Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” which was co-written by her and Andre 3000’s son, Seven. That drop came along with an announcement of a new mixtape, which we now know will come out next week.

In an interview with Noisey, she revealed that she was inspired to make the mixtape, which is called But You Caint Use My Phone, after hearing Drake’s “cute song.”

Along with the mixtape dropping at the beginning of November, Ms. Badu will also be hosting the 2015 Soul Train Awards and performing a one-woman show in Dallas called Live Nudity, which she described as “improv” in the interview with Noisey.

“I have a format, kind of, but I haven’t really had time to write a 60-minute show, so we just have to see what happens,” she said.

She also discussed her son’s involvement in writing music, her relationship with Drake, up-and-comers in music she listens to and more in the interview, which you can read in full here.

We’re ready, Ms. Badu. We’re ready.
