Despite their popularity, I don’t listen to a lot of podcasts. From a hip hop perspective, Eric and Jeff Rosenthal’s “A Waste Of Time with ItsTheReal” and Combat Jack’s eponymous show are entertaining listens, while friends have recommended I begin listening to the anthology series Serial as well. Jalen Rose and David Jacoby’s Grantland podcast was always a guaranteed laugh as well, what with Jalen humorously telling stories like the time he stole Patrick Ewing’s television or when Kobe Bryant scored 81 points on his then-team the Toronto Raptors.
I’m still crying at the Ewing story.
Joe Budden has a podcast, “I’ll Name This Podcast Later,” which has the rapper recapping the week’s events with his cohorts, regulars Rory and Marisa Mendez. The latest episode features a guest the crew have been trying to grab for a while now: Amber Rose.
However, the one thing that actually caught my attention is the podcast that Joe was actually a guest on, Taxstone’s Tax Season podcast. My timline got flooded with this golden nugget…
