Chicago-by-way-of-Minneapolis producer Boathouse has made a couple of appearances on the DopeHouse debuting back in July with “Kate.” Boathouse is in the good hands of Closed Sessions, which currently boasts a lineup of DopeHouse favorite Odd Couple and newcomer WebsterX. (I still feel he’s dropped one of the most beautiful visuals of the year with “Lately.”)
Today, he dropped his first EP on the label, Girl. Premiered by Complex, Boathouse told the site the EP is “a way to show my appreciation for girls by channeling the energy I feel from them into each track.” Lasting seven songs, that’s a lot of energy, man. Salute to Boathouse. Women deserve it.
