Producer G-Koop is not new to the pages here at the DopeHouse. The Oakland talent, who is closely affiliated with Atmosphere and also serves as Jake One’s co-producer is a Berklee School of Music graduate (based in Boston, where he’s originally from). Recently, he lent his live-instrumentation expertise, alongside Jake One and Cookin Soul for YG’s “G Thang.”

Now, the Bay Area producer, alongside his right-hand man O-Man, drops off episode 53 in their on-going beat-making docu-series. Lost In the Game is a five-track EP which includes the title track featuring Souls of Mischief’s Tajai as well as artists Izrell and London. “Game Pieces” features musical contributions from Michael “Clip” Payne of the iconic Parliament-Funkadelic collective who essentially ties the P-Funk/jazz inspired project together.

Brown Bag AllStar J57 closes out the EP with a neck-snapping remix to the title track. Stream it below and pick it up on iTunes.

Hopefully this one doesn’t get swept under the proverbial rug, as it’s a well rounded out project that will surely whet any Hiero/Souls of Mischief/Freestyle Fellowship fans appetite.
