Los Angeles-reared producer J-Hyphen (1 1/2 of The Formula) decides to give The Weeknd’s funky, upbeat smash-of-a-single “Can’t Feel My Face” a refreshing face-lift.
The original Max Martin production is replaced with a more gritty, toned down sound with a little twist of trap, topped off with some very heavy, booming bass. It’s pretty intense and dark in all the right places, and will go quite well with a cup of that purple stuff.
