Lil B Disses The Weeknd In “4 The Record” Video

blame it on Patrick Glynn November 2, 2015

For some reason, Lil B has taken issue with The Weeknd. On his new song “4 The Record” off the upcoming Thugged Out Pissed Off mixtape, the Based God he explicitly states: “Call me Lil Bars with the XO Bars, saying ‘Fuck The Weeknd,’ I can’t sing that soft.” He later dished out and repeated, “A lot of suckers fake so I can’t respect it, Fuck The Weeknd, put that on record.”

An artist like Lil B and an artist like The Weeknd are on complete different levels and spectrums of popularity in the hip-hop and music, so the former dissing the latter isn’t some sort industry-shaking move. Only the person who dissed The Weeknd wasn’t an artist LIKE Lil B. It WAS Lil B. And something that comes with The Based God is The Based God Curse.

Some believe in the curse of the goat for the Chicago Cubs. I don’t. Some believed in the Curse of the Bambino with the Red Sox. I didn’t. The Madden Curse? That’s just bad luck. But damnit do I believe in The Based God Curse.

As Lil B said at the end of “4 The Record,” “I don’t give a fuck if you singin’, I don’t give a fuck if you rappin’, stealing swag is stealing swag.” Kevin Durant paid Lil B no mind. He hurt is foot multiple times and was out for the 2015 season. LeBron James stole swag. His teammates got injured and he lost in the 2015 Finals. James Harden CONTINUES to cook (Lil B’s dance move) when making shots without giving Lil B some daps, so Lil B makes sure he shoots poorly and his team blows 20-point halftime leads like they did Sunday (in addition to blowing a 3-1 series lead in the playoffs last year).

However The Weeknd stole swag from Lil B, I’d kindly ask him to resolve his issues. I like The Weeknd. Despite his last album being just above mediocre, he’s one of the biggest pop stars on the planet right now, and I don’t want to see him tumble because of some unnecessary beef with Lil B. And trust me, if he falls, it will be because of Lil B. The curse is real.
