It’s no secret Wale reps the DMV to the fullest. And with his latest moves, it seems like he’s really looking to help put on the young guns of the area. Last month, he and Phil Adé linked up on a new record. Earlier this week, he debuted GoldLink’s new single with Anderson .PAAK, and joined him on stage in L.A. as part of Red Bull Sound Select’s 30 Days in LA series. And now, he’s back assisting another rising star from the D.C. area.
Chaz French, who we’ve been championing ever since he made his DopeHouse debut with the blistering “Came Down” last year, is currently working on the follow-up to 2014′ Happy Belated EP. And for the first single, he connects with Wale to speak to their significant others over unstable relationships and emotions.

Saturday marked Day 7 of the series, and the Soulection crew was in full effect! Co-founders Joe Kay and Andre Power’s presence was felt. Michigan-based producer Sango threw it down with his special blend of hip-hop and world music. And DMV reps GoldLink and Chaz French – who have collaborated on “Aquafina” and have been touring together for the greater part of the year – both did what they’ve become known to do… rip the stage to pieces.
