Ever since he earned 2Dope To Sleep On honors back in 2013, LA’s KR has seemingly shown “100 Styles” within each and every one of his releases.
Now, after a rather quiet year – last appearing in May with his 2DBZ-premiered “Play My Sh*t” video – the bubbling talent is back experimenting with yet another sound on “Bout That.”
Gone are the animated raps and colorful wordplay, which have been replaced by sultry vocals and a bedroom-ready vibe to heavy to ignore.
“I made ‘Bout That’ because that’s the vibe I was feeling when I heard the track,” KR told The FADER over email. “I don’t want to be boxed in, each song that I create is it’s own body of work. I would like my fans to see there are more layers to me than they have already seen. As I grow as a person, I will always experiment with different types of sounds.”
