After releasing “C.U.R.E.,” the fourth single from BOOTS‘ upcoming LP, AQUΛRIA, a couple weeks ago, the singer-producer drops an animated visual to pair.
This weekend, I watched a new Netflix show called Master of None with Aziz Ansari. In a couple of the episodes, Ansari’s character is filming a virus movie, where the fate of the country is in the hands of a couple scientists trying to find the cure to a virus called “the sickening.” In the video for “C.U.R.E.,” scientists are infected with some sort of disease that lights their body on fire and takes over the setting, which reminded me of Ansari’s character yelling “THE SICKENIIIINNNGGGG, IT’S ALL OVER ME, WE’RE ALL GONNA DIEEEEEEEEE” in a coffee shop while trying to audition for the movie. It’s weird how convenient connections can be sometimes.
