Yung Lean, a 19-year-old rapper from Sweden, has been absent from the rap game for a little over a year now after releasing Unknown Memory in September 2014. Usually when you have such a blog-generated buzz — stemming from the emcee’s oddness and unexpected talent a lá Spooky Black — like he did, it’s hard to leave and come back just as strong and hyped. It seems, though, Young Lean has the chance to trample that thought with his new single and visual for “Hoover.”
The Swedish rapper plays right into the hard-hitting inaudibleness that people buy into today, though Young Lean rocks with a pretty nice flow behind the industrial, bass-heavy production from Yung Gud.
