Rising emcee E. Jake has been making noise within the underground scene, and most recently was championed by Statik Selektah. Earlier this year, the Boston, MA representative clutched the “Best Male Rapper Award” at the 2015 Underground Music Awards.
Inspired by an array of iconic artists that include Al Green, The Temptations, Curtis Mayfield, Wu-Tang, Nas and JAY Z, E. Jake is focused on taking bits and pieces of influential artists to create original and authentic music that is both contemporary and nostalgic at the same time.
This forward thinking is show-and-proven in his visual for the single “36 Forever” which references two of Jake’s favorite Wu albums: Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and Wu-Tang Forever. Watch the video up top and purchase a deluxe edition hardcopy of his album Wu Raised Me here.
