Rihanna Announces ‘ANTI’ World Tour w/ Travi$ Scott, Big Sean & The Weeknd

Rihanna last dropped an album (Unapologetic) three-and-a-half years ago, but it seems her next LP, ANTI, is set to drop on Black Friday. The album, according to HITS Daily Double, will premiere exclusively on TIDAL for a week and then drop in stores worldwide December 4.

On Thursday, Rihanna and her marketing team unveiled the ANTIdiaRy.com website, sponsored by Samsung (who will sponsor her upcoming world tour). Though you have to view from your mobile phone to get the details, it eventually takes you to an interactive map of a room you can navigate. In that room, there are different “clues,” which featuring ominous clips of music and a story, which I’m sure we’ll find the plot to soon. Eventually, more rooms will unlock and feature more clips of music and storyline. Teen Vogue (yes, I had to visit Teen Vogue to research this) describes the first room in detail.

This is similar to when Jay Z paired with Samsung to drop Magna Carta Holy Grail. It was announced in the middle of June of 2013, and less than three weeks later, the album dropped exclusively on an app on the phone. This Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year, and while I think it’d make more sense to drop the album that day instead of a week later, there’s probably marketing research out there to suggest otherwise.

If I had any guess, “Bitch Better Have My Money,” “FourFive Seconds” and “American Oxygen” will make an appearance on the album, seeing as they’re her three biggest releases in 2014. I guess we’ll have to wait until Friday and see.

UPDATE: Curiouser and curiouser, it appears: Rihanna has now announced her ANTI World Tour, with special guest Travi$ Scott (during the US stops) and Big Sean and The Weeknd for the European stops:
