DopeHouse mainstay SchylerChaise has maintained a relatively low profile in recent months, but the North Carolina native is aiming a return with the impending release of his forthcoming effort For The H.O.M.I.E.S. While there is no concrete release date for the project, the self-proclaimed black sheep has unveiled an offering from it in the form of “Black Butterfly.”
Perhaps inspired by the teachings of one 2Pac, Schyler interpolates some of the fallen rapper’s famous lines on this aspirational number for those struggling to achieve their dreams. It’s quite simple, really: never let another’s darkness cloud the light, and with his latest song Schyler hopes to guide some souls to that beacon.
