Monica – “Hustler’s Ambition” f. Akon

Monica has come a long way from her “Don’t Take It Personal (Just One of Dem Days),” uh, days. The long-standing chanteuse has gone on to have a musical career that has spanned two decades, 25 million albums sold and numerous chart-topping singles, all the the while blossoming from a Rowdy Records teenager to an accomplished mother of three. Monica is gearing up to release her eighth album, Code Red, on December 18th, and following the Lil Wayne– featured “Just Right For Me” she connects with yet another veteran – Akon – for the slowed-down “Hustler’s Ambition.”

The propitious number has the two of them finding love in a not-so-hopeless place, despite the other’s constant work leading them to be apart for long periods of time. It sounds like something straight out of a “relationship goals” hashtag, which – at this day and age – is something everybody wants to attain. Listen to it below.
