Apathy is a man of many affiliations: The Demigodz, Army of the Pharaohs, the Get Busy Committee. However, he saves his best work for his own solo efforts: Eastern Philosophy, Wanna Snuggle?, Honkey Kong, Connecticut Casual. Ap is prepping a rather mammoth 2016, which will result in the release of a pair of new projects: Handshakes With Snakes and The Widow’s Son. With Handshakes… arriving first, the Connecticut-reared emcee drops its first single, “Rap Is Not Pop.”

A self-produced jam, Apathy makes it known that his sound isn’t for the perceived polluted generation of rap. He’s not one of those perceived “old heads” either, he was just raised in a generation of rappers whom he feels were “the best to ever do it.” That own influence is inflected in his sound, which can be bumped below.

Handshakes With Snakes is slated to arrive in January 2016.
