Hudson Mohawke – “Indian Steps” f. Antony (Video)

British producer Hudson Mohawke revisits his Lantern LP, which released in the middle of the summer, with a visual for the intimate “Indian Steps” featuring Antony Hegarty.

Featuring the singer’s deep, hauntingly charming vocals, the video plays out with an older couple holding each other close as gold twine weaves between the two and solidifies their co-existence. The director of the video, Daniel Sannwald, told i-D, who premiered the visual, he got the influence for the video form Rodin’s “The Kiss.”

“For the video I recreate that sculpture with two elderly bodies. It was very touching and moving to see two aging bodies in such an intimate way. I wanted to use them as a symbol of time but also to capture the beauty of such vulnerability. I strongly believe that every deep love has its own place and space and therefore lives on forever.”
