Iman Shumpert – “Build Em (Tetris)” (Video)

Iman Shumpert — yes, that Iman Shumpert: the shooting guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers — has been known to have the capability to rap since he was drafted to the New York Knicks a couple years ago. Now while he doesn’t always have time to make new music due to an eight-month-long NBA season, he’s currently rehabbing a broken wrist, which obviously gives him more time to focus on music.

In the middle of October, Shumpert released a remix of Drake & Future’s “Jumpman,” and now he reappears on the DopeHouse with a new song and video, “Build Em (Tetris).” The music video plays out in the style of a Grand Theft Auto video game — only set in Downtown Cleveland and not nearly as violent (for PR purposes).

Shumpert tweeted his plan is to drop an EP before he drops any other sort of project, so if you’re a fan of the shooting guard’s work, know that he’ll continue to drop new tunes, it seems.
