Blame Adele for December 4th shaping up to be another huge day of rap drops. Due to the impending chart carnage her album 25 was poised to make (about 3.38 million problems, to be exact), virtually every rapper shifted their album releases to either drop before or after. Alongside Rick Ross’ Black Market, Sheek Louch, KiD CuDi, and G-Eazy’s When It’s Dark Out, Curren$y will drop his own album Canal Street Confidential as well. A guest-studded affair, Spitta’s album will feature the likes of August, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Ty Dolla $ign among others. The latter collaboration, for “Superstar,” now gets a matching set of visuals.
Under the guise of a car magazine, Curren$y and Ty deliver their rhymes while accompanied by the nicest of low-riders and sweetest of women. Canal Street Confidential is shaping up to be a great listen, and should not be missed.
