Kendrick Lamar’s hour-long performance for Austin City Limits is set to run on PBS on January 9, and the show gave us a small taste of the episode with King Kendrick’s performance on “Alright.”
For the first minute and a half of the video, Kendrick acts as the maestro to the crowd’s “We gon’ be alright” chants, bring the sound of the crowd up and down before the song starts. These Austin City Limits concerts are always great — the no commercials help — and based on what I’ve heard from his Kunta’s Groove Sessions tour, I’m sure this performance will be no different.
