The West Coast Cali revolution continues to proudly wave its flag high above the palm trees, and today, we introduce another set of players who have a hand in this giant seismic shift in the revitalized G-Funk landscape: LNDN DRGS.

The duo is comprised of Compton-by-way-of-Vancouver’s Jay Worthy and producer Sean House. Together, the pair have just released their new mixtape titled AKTIVE – with obvious homages to the gangsterific, funkadelic sounds of Snoop – and that entire 90s West Coast era. I mean, check the project’s artwork.

While you can stream the entire project here, we’ve decided to highlight one of our favorites, “Fast Blakk” featuring the duo’s mentor and the late, legendary A$AP Yams.

The slowed samples and house party vibes of Bompton rapper Jay Worthy and Vancouver producer Sean House might conjure G-Funk classics of old, but this ain’t a DeLorean on Daytons. Mentored by the late A$AP Yams, LNDN DRGS have pulled from generations of game to make modern day slaps all their own. Roller rink basslines, low riding flows, crucial, um, “dating advice”… this is LNDN DRGS raw and uncut, welcoming everyone to the function.

The rest of the mixtape features appearances from YG Hootie, Krayzie Bone, RetcH and more. Stream the entire thing below.
