DopeHouse favorite and mainstay Mélat is still riding high from the release of her recent EP, It Happens So Fast. She recently revealed a new single, the Obey City-produced loose offering “Dance Olivia,” and it now gets a subsequent set of visuals.
Her first video of 2015, “Dance Olivia” is inspired by Dystopian novels such as The Giver and 1984. She explains to OkayAfrica, “The media shows us images that invoke fear and apprehension but I believe in the power of the individual and each person’s unique ability to be great. Don’t let the world tell you otherwise because it’s up to us to either live in fear of what’s to come or to live beautifully despite it.”
