The song title of this latest offering from Rockie Fresh is, well, quite appropriate for the Chicago-bred rapper. Although signed to Rick Ross’ MMG stable since 2012, aside from sporadic appearances – in particular, 2013’s compilation project Self Made Vol. 3 – Rockie has yet to release a studio album under the label, and has largely quiet since his 2013 collaborative EP with Casey Veggies, Fresh Veggies.
Rockie plans to break that extended silence with the impending release of his new project, The Night I Went To…, and following the release of his first video in over a year – “Tell Me” – he gets extremely personal with the follow-up release, “Too Long.” A personal song, he laments about the recent goings-on in his life, even referencing the apparent hold-up of his music. Wel, hopefully The Night I Went To… will be the cure that ails that situation, right?
