Brooklyn-raised Charles Chaio, aka Mean Joe Scheme knew this day would come when he was just nine years old. After years perfecting his craft, the emcee known as Mean Joe Scheme is ready to break out as a solo artist. Although growing up during the “shiny suit era” of rap, Joe was more inspired by the golden era of Hip-Hop, particulary in 1994, when Mean Joe found his muse in the classic album Illmatic. Joe was 19, much like a young Nas, when the classic album from the latter was released. Revisiting and inspired by that era, he shares with the world his debut LP You Gotta Watch which will release on Dec 15th via a newly-birthed label Five Seven Music which is founded by Brown Bag AllStar J57.
