Still riding the wave of his Searching Sylvan LP, Miami’s Sylvan LaCue recently fell in love with a PYT from Oakland and felt inspired to hit the studio for a quickstrike EP—named after his new lady, Evangeline.
“Evangeline is a postlude to my upcoming project Far From Familiar,'” says Sylvan. “It’s a love story based on a long distance relationship that takes place in Miami Fl, & Oakland CA. Since Far From Familiar is taking a bit more time, I wanted to give my fans something to hold onto before the year was out.
Produced entirely by Fortune (who laced GoldLink for The God Complex EP), the five-track project features two members of LaCue’s WiseUp collective: Venus Amor & Linzi Jai (“Caravan 04“).
