It’s a known fact that Wale is one of hip hop’s biggest sports fans. He will unconditionally ride for his hometown teams, through both the good and bad seasons (and controversies), and is unabashed in his stannery (this is not an insult) and will drop an ode to some of his favorite athletes, such as Washington Nationals MVP Bryce Harper.
Wale is, of course, a huge wrestling fan as well. With the WWE experiencing a… let’s say… colorful renaissance with performers like The New Day and Sasha Banks, the MMG rapper drops a freestyle to Banks with “Legit Boss.” A follow up to his “Bad Guy” (which paid homage to Razor Ramon), “Legit Boss” is ode to the once-NXT Women’s Champion (who, coincidentally, is a cousin of Snoop Dogg) and even repurposes her entrance theme music.
