There is a reason why Smoke DZA has been quiet throughout 2015: like Walter White, Uncle Phil, and other legendary paternal figures, the Kush Gawd has been focusing primarily on his family. However, the fall-back has only meant that he has been steadily preparing for a grand resurgence for 2016, as is evidenced by his latest offering “I Got Kids.”
Produced by DJ Relly Rell, the song sounds straight from the dingy basement of a 1995 Mobb Deep studio session: dark, dank and lovely. If DZA is sounding this hungry, fans can only expect even more greatness from the Harlem spitter. Al Bundy would be proud of this.
