Consequence started his comeback in 2015 with songs like “That Dude” and “When I Wanna,” and the New York native continues the lead up to his next EP, A Good Comeback Story, with a new single, “Make Believe.”

Essentially, Cons is poking at the phoniness surrounding people’s lives on social media (a la Pusha T’s “M.F.T.R.“). Atlanta’s Kam Corvet sarcastically questions on the hook, “How can I make believe that I don’t love you?” as if he’s oblivious to the fact plenty of people do just that in the social media world. Cons left a note to add some more depth to his mindset during the making of the song:

Real love is being tested now more than ever because of the temptations that are available online which allow all of us at some point, to explore the land of “Make Believe.”
