Perhaps the one rapper who had a better 2015 than most other artists in general would be Rapsody. Although having not released a solo project since 2014’s Beauty And The Beast, her contribution to Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly not only raised her profile significantly but could actually earn her a GRAMMY Award for her guest feature.
Rap recently took her talents to the small desk of NPR Music’s Bob Boilen, as the latest performer on their Tiny Desk Concert series. Flanked by 9th Wonder as well as the crew only known as The Storm Troopers, she would perform a small set – which included the songs “Godzilla,” “The Man” and “Hard To Choose” – for those in attendance.
