One of the more pleasant surprises in 2015 came from Janelle Monáe protégé and Wondaland Records artist Jidenna, whose debut single “Classic Man would land him both a platinum plaque and a 2016 GRAMMY nomination. Hoping to keep that momentum going Jidenna will release his debut album sometime in 2016, and after revealing its first two singles – “Extraordinaire” and “Knickers” – he reveals a visual treatment for the latter, “Knickers.”

Directed by co-conspirator Benny Boom, the video – like the single – is a tongue-in-cheek play on its title, which largely takes place at a jazz club straight out of the roaring 20s. After being rejected for their attire (who hasn’t had that happen before?), three men instead take their talents to Jidenna’s spot where they proceed to get into some of the most complex dance moves a person will ever see in the club. Kevin Hart’s friend Spank would probably have the time of his life.
