Two-9 member Jace (of Retro Su$h!) will become a lone wolf of sorts, planning to release his solo debut project Jace Tape on February 29th. While keeping the guest raps to a minimum, Jace will enlist in the services of Ducko McFli, Childish Major, Sonny Digital, and – of course – Mike WiLL Made It for their production talents.

Fans shouldn’t fret; he is not leaving the group at all. Speaking to Noisey, Jace credits their close kinship as motivation to aspire for greatness.

“These are my day one, every day kind of friends. There never really is separation, whether musically or outside of the studio. We’re always together, we’re always working, whether I go a few days, a week or so not seeing one member. We’re always plotting on how we’re going to take over and do sh*t, and we all kind of came together and decided that it was time for me to contribute to the takeover, to our overall mission and plan of taking over the world. They’re all behind me, and they’re all supporting me on this one effort.”

Jace has unveiled an example of what his mixtape will sound like, linking with Chuck Inglish for the single “Eastside Jace.” While the song will actually not make the project, it can be heard below.
