Leon Bridges, who released one of my favorite albums of 2015 with Coming Home, revisits his debut LP on Jimmy Kimmel Live! performing “Twistin’ & Groovin'” and the album’s final song, “River.”
Coming Home was released about six-and-a-half months ago, and between his NPR Tiny Desk Concert set, his Saturday Night Live appearance, other late-night performances and playing the album again and again, it’s safe to say I’m ready for new Leon Bridges. The soulful young man can change tempo and mood in an instant, and it’ll be nice to see him use that talent and grow across more projects.
