Honestly, I’m too excited, so I’m going to try and finish this post as quick as possible.

Anderson .Paak has been one of my favorite up-and-comers since listening to his last LP, Venice, for all of 2015. He then appeared on Dr. Dre’s Compton, which is when he was discovered by the masses. After an EP with Blended Babies and one with Knxwledge under the Nxworries moniker, he announced another California-influenced LP, Malibu.

At 15 tracks, the highly-anticipated album is led by its first four singles—”The Season/Carry Me,” “Am I Wrong” with ScHoolboy Q, “Room In Here” with The Game, and the Hi-Tek-laced “Come Down“—and also features appearances from BJ the Chicago Kid, Rapsody, Talib Kweli, and two accomplished choirs.

Take a listen below and head to iTunes to cop!

01 The Bird (prod. Paak)
02 Heart Don’t Stand A Chance (prod. DJ Khalil)

05 Put Me Thru (prod. Paak)
06 Am I Wrong f. ScHoolboy Q (prod. POMO)

14 Silicon Valley (prod. Dem Jointz)

And because I’m a sucker for anything BJ the Chicago Kid, you can peep the Madlib-produced “The Waters” below.

If you aren’t playing Malibu throughout 2016, you’re making a big mistake.
