DJ Platurn‘s original version of the mixtape we’re offering here today launched some 10 years ago, and was considered a huge influence on other A Tribe Called Quest/Native Tongues-inspired mixtapes years later.
TBOATCQ v. 1 was so influential, it literally traveled the world and back – not to mention the role it played in the editing of the 2DOPE documentary Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest.
Volume 2 is a slight update and also features some very cool commentary from the one-and-only Michael Rapaport. Today, we’ve teamed up with our homies over at Strictly Cassette, alongside DJ Platurn to offer you all a chance to win 3 copies (black, red and green) of the featured mixtape.
