Last week, Kanye West reintroduced his G.O.O.D. Friday series with the release of the Ty Dolla $ign-assisted “Real Friends” and a snippet of “No More Parties In LA” with Kendrick Lamar.

Unfortunately, there was nothing G.O.O.D. about this past Friday, as Ye made a liar out of his wife and didn’t drop anything. The following morning, PR Kim took to Twitter to apologize—blaming a “Yeezy Season 3 sitting” in Italy and revealing Ye wrote “90 bars on the plane there!!

Fast forward to late Sunday night and Kanye unveiled the artwork with a promise of its release being “very, very, extremely soon.” And he actually came through!… at 7am EST Monday morning (January 18th). Following up with the official release of the Kendrick Lamar-assisted “No More Parties In LA,” which Ye and the incomparable Madlib started working on back during the MBDTF sessions in 2010—as documented on Stones Throw’s Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton film (below).

Fast forward to the 21:44 mark and you’ll see Ye recount his experience working with the legendary underground producer and proceeds to spit the opening lines.
