There’s just something so perfect about T-Pain singing out and praising strippers. It’s a theme I’ve heard and enjoyed since I was 10, so the fact I’m 22 and still getting glimpses of “I’m ‘n Luv (Wit A Stripper)” makes my heart happy. Additionally, it’s dope to hear the female counterpart to the “stripper-customer” relationship. Though Shanell doesn’t work in the club, she’s reciprocating the beauty and that comes along with stripping on a personal and at-home level in the video.
Shanell spoke to The FADER, who premiered the video, about the message behind the visual:
“Strippers are glorified so often that at times it seems that the world forgets to shine a light on regular, fly civilian women and how sexy and amazing we can be. … [Women should] own their sexuality in the beat and display it for that special someone—or themselves—where and whenever the mood strikes.”
SHAKE EDIT: Go ‘head Shanell, own that sexuality of yours…
