San Diego’s Odessa Kane is currently signed to the Beatrock Music imprint – which includes fellow label mate and proud Pinoy Bambu.
Born Frankie Quiñones in Tijuana, the half-Mexican, half-Filipino emcee represents the Filipino justice-seeking organization known as Kabataang maka-Bayan (Pro-People Youth), an offshoot of Kabataang Makabayan which was founded in 1964.
In December of 2013, Odessa delivered his Cuetes & Balisongs EP and made his debut appearance here at the DopeHouse as a guest spot on Kahlee‘s “For My People.” Before the SD artist gears up for his full-length EP Left To Bear Arms, he’s warmed up both old and new fans with the 7-track maxi-single GPT (Gangster Pimp Trap) which you can stream below.
