Antonio Breez – “You Ain’t Hot/Exodus” (Video)

“You ain’t hot. Listening to Top 40 is the only time you pop.”

Reaching as far back as the late 1980s, The Hub, aka Boston, MA has produced a significant number of proficiently skilled emcees. The City of Champions is also the birth home to the Source magazine, founded out of Harvard University by David Mays. If the city had a Hip-Hop hall of fame, luminaries which include 7L & Esoteric, Big Shug, electro legend Arthur Baker, The Almight RSO, Edo G and Guru would surely line the halls.

With a new generation of emcees stepping up to the plate, room will have to be made. Enter Antonio Breez, who is making his debut here at the DopeHouse. The young upstart is fresh off the release of his new LP The Convocation of Antonio Breez.

Apart from being wicked with words and similes, the Boston native is also a philanthropist/humanitarian. With the purchase of every album, Antonio is donating 90% of the proceeds to the Team Jade’s Be The Match organization, founded in the spirit of 5-year old survivor Jade, who was once stricken with leukemia. Now that she’s beaten it, the proceeds will help ” raise critical funds for patients in need of a marrow transplant.”

To get a taste of what to expect from Breez’s project, watch the double-hitter video for “You Ain’t Hot/Exodus” up top.
