UPDATE: Kanye has changed the title of his album to WAVES.
It wouldn’t be a Kanye West release without Kanye West going all Kanye West.
With his upcoming seventh studio now having a release date (February 11th), the World’s Most Stylish Man has now (allegedly) revealed his next magic trick: the premiere of his anxiously-awaited new LP. Now, it appears that he may unveil his new album at The World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden in New York, alongside the debut of his Yeezy Season 3 apparel line.
It makes sense, really. Over the last few New York Fashion Week events, West has unveiled bits and pieces from the project formerly known as So Help Me God (“Wolves,” “Fade“) while unveiling his clothing line, and with New York Fashion Week occurring around the same time as his album’s release it seems natural that ‘Ye will broadcast
SWISH WAVES in the same manner.
Madison Square Garden – via Ticketmaster – has confirmed the show on February 11th, as this link will lead customers to where they can buy passes. Pre-sale tickets begin January 27th, with the general release following suit on January 29th.
UPDATE: Kanye let his Twitter fingers do the talking and praised
SWISH WAVES for being the Album of the Year of the Life—or something.
UPDATE (02/01): Kanye West officially confirmed what we thought last week. He’s debuting Yeezy Season 3 at Madison Square Garden.
Kanye’s website was also updated with locations across America, Europe and Australia where the show will be streaming in theaters. So far, only ticket for international locations are available. While the U.S.A. has cities highlighted, you can’t find out what specific cities/theaters are showing the stream just yet.
Head to Kanye’s website to check availability.
