It was inevitable. Ever since Drake‘s “Hotline Bling” came out, SOME phone company was going to pay a lot of money to help advertise its business. Even though it may have acquired the rights as the summer single is on its last legs, T-Mobile used “Hotline Bling” for its Super Bowl commercial, which will air on Sunday.
The ad, a little rushed because every damn second counts when it comes to Super Bowl ad money, has Drake’s at his “Hotline Bling” video shoot interrupted by T-Mobile spokes people asking him to change a couple lyrics in the song to help better support the company’s message. Just when you thought the song might finally be escaping you, it’s being brought back during the biggest media platform in the history of the world — commercial time during the Super Bowl.
