Jillian Hervey and Lucas “Astro Raw” Goodman, better known as LION BABE, have made an enduring impact as one of today’s most talented duos. With Lucas’ electric funk-drenched backdrops merging with Jillian’s husky and soul-fueled bravado, the duo have created waves since the release of their 2014 self-titled EP.
LION BABE has now released their long-in-the-works debut album, Begin, today (February 5th). The album is highlighted by the previous singles “Wonder Woman,” “Jump Hi” and “Treat Me Like Fire.” With contributions from Childish Gambino (on “Jump Hi“) and Pharrell (on “Wonder Woman“), the Brooklyn duo have crafted an R&B project that is entrenched with the roots and sounds of neo-soul, funk, and elctro-bohemian vibes.
