PREMIERE: Blak Madeen – “Mic Divine” f. Blacastan (Video)

blame it on JES7 February 5, 2016

Although it may come off as mere background noise at first, there’s actually something special about the giant mural sprawled across the wall at Dewey Square Park in New England that Blak Madeen‘s Al-J and Yusuf Abdul-Mateen are posted up in front of in their latest visual.

Created by artist Lawrence Weiner, the letters which stretch a few meters high read “A Translation from One Language to Another” and gives a certain minimalist ambience. Coupled with their latest soundtrack, “Mic Divine,” off their new LP Supreme Aftermath, these two pieces of fine art of both the visual and audio type are projecting a conceptual message that can be interpreted in many ways by the audience.

Together, the two emcees who are joined by Hartford, CT’s Blacastan give viewers a virtual stroll through their hometown, all the while dispatching their knowledge and wisdom-filled lyrics which permeate the atmosphere.
