Boston-based producer and boom-bap purveyor Confidence has been quite busy, racking up an ever-growing list of credits for the likes of SmooVth, Born Unique, The Legion, Neek the Exotic, Tragic Allies and more.
On top of cranking out neck-snapping beats, Con has also been setting aside time to continue running the School of Confidence, as well as keeping his ears and eye out for new talent.
Not long ago, while browsing Pandora, Con stumbled upon West Coast emcee 60 East. The ironic thing about this is 60, also listening to Pandora, just happened upon Confidence’s beats. The two clicked, and as they say, the cipher was complete.
This chance meeting eventually led to the song “What I’m Saying” which became a bonus cut on 60’s LP, 10,000 Hours (download here.) Watch the official video up top.
