Every day from noon to 2 p.m. EST, I keep my ears peeled for whatever record Zane Lowe decides he wants to premiere on his Beats 1 radio show every day of the work week. Wednesday, he debuted a new song, “Fire,” from one of my favorite up-and-coming producers, Jack Garratt. The single will land on the British producers upcoming LP, Phase, which is set to drop February 19.
After the song premiered, Zane Lowe talked to Garratt about discovering fame before really proving himself as an artist, the lack of “darkness” in his music and the “creative hating” Twitter followers come up with in 140 characters or less. Check out the song and interview below.
