Over the past couple years, Killer Mike has become a larger public figure beyond rap due to his activity in the community dedicated to social issues and justice in connection with this year’s presidential campaign, where he’s become one of Bernie Sanders’ largest supporters. This makes him appear far more in the media than if he stuck to his political activism on wax, and that’s a good thing for both people who struggle to be heard and the brand of Killer Mike.
Michael Rendor has found himself as a new sponsor of Sonos speakers in connection with Apple Music pushing the importance of music in the home. In one of the TV spots, which debuted during The GRAMMYs Monday night, Killer Mike said, “music makes mundane stuff better,” as Anderson .Paak’s “Come Down” blares through his speakers. Both Shake and Mek have talked up Sonos speakers in the past couple days. After this Killer Mike endorsement, I may need to get myself a set. Anyone have the hook up?
