After delivering “Cosmic Love” in January, Mayer Hawthorne has finally announced a place for it to land. Thursday, the Cali singer announced his new album, Man About Town, is set to arrive April 8 in addition to delivering the project’s second single, “Love Like That.”
In his natural funk and R ‘n’ B form, Mayer details the type of intimate relationship he wants on “Love Like That.” Yesterday, I mentioned how much I enjoy consistently getting a single from DaM-FunK, whether it lands on a project or not. I feel the same about Mayer Hawthorne, and I’m beginning to realize it’s the sound that does it for me. Funk never fails to bring out the happiness.
