Chitown producer Owen Bones grabs fellow citymate Mick Jenkins and Texas native Kevin Abstract for “Stuntman,” one song off his newly released Surrender! EP.
I’m digging the hell out of this banger. “Stuntman” has an industrial, head-knocking soundscape both Jenkins and Abstract haven’t really dealt with before, and they both handle the production incredibly well — especially Abstract, who may be more familiar with the “banger” category with his work with BROCKHAMPTON. Abstract makes me want to buy an Armani suit, walk out of the store, throw it in the trash and go back in and buy another.
If you’re ever in the need for motivation to get up and buy $140 shoes or to talk to a woman you’ve pined for behind closed doors, play Bones’ new song and just stunt, man.
