Most people only associate “Genius of Love” — by the new wave band the Tom Tom Club — with Mariah Carey and Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s classic 1995 cover. Now, Tinashe hopes to add to that with her take on the 1981 song.
Produced by DJ Cassidy, the song will be the theme for Target’s upcoming Around Town, Target Style Spring ad campaign. Launching next month, expect the song to blare out of television screens for the next few months. Hear it below.
