What I appreciate about IshDARR is his ability to not stick to one sound. After dropping “Too Bad” and “Sugar” last year, he could’ve easily stuck to party bangers after making two that could stay in rotation for years to come and helped boost him into newfound sets of ears. Instead, he’s followed with songs like “Somebodies” and “Time Shawty” that trend a bit more rugged than they do upbeat anthems.
Today, he continues leaning more toward the hungry and ambitious side with “ALPHA” produced by Millz Douglas and Lehvi. After the first half’s determined and head-knocking vibe comes to a close, the production turns to celebratory — but the Milwaukee native uses the time to celebrate and flaunt his talents rather than his success. As he should.
