Rappers have always been invited to sit down for a chat with Radio and television legend Larry King. Following chats with the likes of T.I, Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T, DJ Khaled, 50 Cent, Big Sean and Wale among many others, French Montana was the most recent artist to chat with King on his eponymously titled show.

In this brief clip from their forthcoming session, French is asked about the possibilities of rap music’s total and unequivocal acceptance (not just, like, this weird “affirmative action”-style of adoption that’s currently the norm) in the mainstream world. He is also asked about the kerfuffle one Kanye West caused when he threatened to name his album Waves. French would explain that — like the true meaning of “KK” — ‘Ye apparently did not know who Max B was. French would later introduce the two, and Max would end up on the “Siiiiiiiiilver Surffffeeeeer Intermission” on the since-renamed The Life of Pablo.

This episode of Larry King Now debuts March 14th on HULU.
