As the push of “Waves” and subsequently Wildheart continues, we get another official remix of Miguel‘s song (following the industrial remix featuring Travi$ Scott) from vibrant rock band Tame Impala.
The remix will land on Rogue Waves, an EP with five remixes of “Waves” including the two previously heard and more from Kacey Musgraves, Joshua Tree and RAC.
After hearing of the Rogue Waves EP, along with the overkill of the Travi$ Scott remix over the past week, I was a little despondent toward hearing yet another version. But shame on me for doubting the talents Tame Impala. The Australian band added waves of bright guitar riffs and synthesizers to Miguel’s vocals giving it a more oceanic feel than the uptempo original.
